剧情简介
在中国人民解放军渡江战役前夕，国民党军营指挥官黄怀恩（张笑君）率领部队撤离了驻守的褚家渡口，并撤退到长江以南。 临走前，他告诉地主楚老板，他要娶楚家的女儿莲花（张灵芝饰），并留下了一个祖传的玉镯作为信物。 这天晚上，莲花遇到了前来调查的解放军连长刘振山（陈龙饰），一见钟情。 不久，刘振山带着部队来到褚家渡口，开始全力以赴准备渡江。 在鸡头山对岸防守的黄怀恩在消灭渡江解放军后，还沉浸在娶莲花为妻的幻想中。 所有人的命运都指向这一渡河时刻的到来。 这一时刻终于到来了——百万英雄过了河！刘振山和莲花从褚家渡口出发紧急救援，在黄怀恩的枪林弹雨中渡过长江，在落败的黄怀恩之前第一个爬上鸡头山南岸...
